FOOTBALL: Arsenal sign defender Gabriel Magalhaes from Lille

Arsenal have completed the signing of 22-year old Brazilian International Gabriel Magalhaes from French side Lille. The defender was brought to the Emirates stadium in a deal worth £27m, as the london club unveiled him in a video via social media.

Arsenal beat off competition from the likes of Napoli, Manchester United and Chelsea in landing Magalhaes. The defender arrived in London last week to complete medical.

Arsenal then teased fans by announcing that David Luiz and Willian will be joined by a ‘special guest’ in a group chat video, showing a picture of both players alongside a silhouette with a question mark, saying: ‘You don’t want to miss this one!’
