FOOTBALL: Cristiano Ronaldo leads Juventus to 9th consecutive Serie A title

Juventus are Serie A champions for the 9th consecutive time, confirmed after their 2-0 win over Sampdoria on Sunday. 

With two matches left to go, Sarri’s men can no longer be caught by their closest challengers Inter Milan in second place. Goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Federico Bernardeschi sealed the win for Juventus, despite Ronaldo’s missed penalty in second half. Sampdoria were reduced to 10-men when Morten Thorsby was sent off. 

Sarri becomes the oldest manager to win the Scudetto title. 36 Scudettos in total for Juventus. It finished: Juventus 2-0 Sampdoria
