FOOTBALL: Juventus knocked out of Champions League on away goals despite Ronaldo brace

Juventus have been knocked out from the Champions League despite Cristiano Ronaldo’s brace as Lyon advance to quarter-finals on away goals.

Lyon who won the first leg encounter 1-0 against Juventus, lost the second leg 2-1. Memphis Depay giving Lyon the lead with a paneka penalty, Cristiano Ronaldo leveling for Juve before halftime with a penalty.

Ronaldo completed his brace in second half but the “two-goal” victory wasn’t enough for the Serie A giants. It finished: Juventus 2-1 Lyon  (Aggregate: Juventus 2-2 Lyon)
