One of the worst days for Real Madrid fans as Los blancos were destroyed 3-7 by city rivals Atletico Madrid in International Champions Cup 2019. 

Within 8 minutes,Real Madrid were already 2 goals down at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Diego Costa opened scoring while new boy Joao Felix scored his first Madrid-derby goal. Costa scored a first half hat-trick,Correa was also on the scoresheet. Half time ended with Real Madrid 0-5 Atletico Madrid. 

Second half saw Diego Costa add his fourth goal before been sent off after a tensed moment with Davi Carvajal. Both Costa and Carvajal received their matching orders.

Joao Felix assisted two goals in the match. Nacho pulled a goal back for Real Madrid and substitute Benzema converted a penalty. Diego Simeone’s men further humiliated their city rivals by adding the 7th goal through a solo effort from Vitolo.

Javi Hernandez reduced the deficit at the ending minutes for Real Madrid.
