Barcelona have been knocked out of the Uefa Champions League after 2-8 thrashing at the hands of Bayern Munich. The German giants ran riot in both halves, Muller and Coutinho scoring brace; Perisic, Gnabry, Kimmich and Lewandowski all on the scoresheet.
Muller(2), Perisic, Gnabry got the goals for Bayern in first half, Alaba’s OG pulled one back for Setien’s men. Second half, Kimmich, Lewandowski and substitute/Barca loanee Coutinho(2) made it 8 goals for the German club.
Barca could only get two goals…Alaba (own goal) in first half and Suarez in second half. Lionel Messi was kept quiet for the entire 90mins.
It finished at Lisbon: Barcelona 2-8 Bayern. (The UCL semis will feature Bayern vs City/Lyon and PSG vs Leipzig)
Barcelona becomes the first club in UCL history to concede 8 goals in a knockout stage.
