FOOTBALL: Dortmund sign Thomas Meunier from PSG

Borussia Dortmund have completed the signing of Belgium right-back Thomas Meunier on a 4-year deal (until June 2024). The 28-year old joins BVB on free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.

At the Bundesliga side, Meunier will play alongside his national teammates Axel Witsel and Thorgan Hazard. He’s been given the no.24 jersey.

Meunier told the German club’s official website: “Borussia Dortmund plays exactly the football that I want to play: exciting, authentic and natural.

“BVB are known for their enthusiastic fans and the atmosphere during the game with PSG at Signal Iduna Park really influenced my decision.

“I am ambitious and, like when I was in Bruges and Paris, I would like to win titles with Dortmund.”

The transfer move confirms Dortmund right-back Archaf Hakimi is leaving BVB.
