Ole Gunnar and his boys have been defeated in the first leg of Carabao Cup by neighbors Manchester City. 
Pep’s side showed their class away at Old Trafford,3-0 before the halftime whistle. Bernando Silva opened scoring with a stunning strike

,Riyad Mahrez who was nominated for the 2019 African Footballer Award doubled City’s lead with a neat finish pass De Gea.

An own-goal from Andreas Pereira took City 3 goals up before halftime…with Sergio Aguero,David Silva and Gabriel J named as substitutes in the semifinal match. United’s Jesse Lingard was shown a yellow card.

Second half,saw more yellow cards flashed. Walker,Fred and Williams got booked. Marcus Rashford who captained Manchester United for the first time pulled a goal back at the 70th minute. The forward was not happy with the derby first-leg loss but looks forward to the second leg at the Etihad stadium in three weeks time. 
It finished at Old Trafford…Carabao Cup(Semifinals first-leg): Manchester United 1-3 Manchester City.
