Poetry Friday Line 21: I CAN’T WAIT
DESTINED TO BE!
I look at you every moment
And I behold you for everything –
The happiness you bring to my melted heart
And the joy you give to my wretched soul
They give me the confidence that you’re the one!
I breath love in your surrounding
I bath in your creamy and foamy water of refreshment
The energy you emit strengthens even my weak emotions
And the life you speak penetrates my bones
They all boost the confidence that it’s you!
Years with you seem like months
Months with you seem like weeks
Weeks seem like days
And days like moments
All boosting my confidence in you!
You bless my spirit with the offer from your harmless palms
Life appears all positive in you presence
“Ups and downs” sounds like an incorrect phrase
Preparing for sorrowful days becomes foolishness
Yet, silly things like these also prove it’s you!
A second without you means minutes invain
A minute without you connotes hours of loneliness
A hour without you insinuates periods of emptiness
And a period without you implies centuries in isolation
This finally confirms we are destined to be!

I CAN’T WAIT
I can’t wait no more.
For I have run out of patience.
Do I have to spend eternity knocking at your door.?
While you’re in there wallowing in silence.
Probably you have forgotten you’re the one I am waiting for.
The more the clock ticks, the more I get tensed.
I can’t wait no more.
I can’t wait no more for my blessings.
I can’t wait to take care of my priceless jewel- my momma.
I never knew it’s gon’ be tough like this.
You know I have a lot to take care of, this Summer.
I’m not doubting your competence.
But man ain’t getting any younger.
Like you said I ‘v been nice, is that not good enough?
I’v knocked for quite a long time, My knuckle hurts.
Is it by hardwork or is it by luck?
Because I’m at the verge of giving up.
Though I have so many people to care of.
You need to open now for it’s very urgent.
Responsibilities are closing up on me, ready to devour me.
If my time is not now, When is it gon’ be.?
All you have to do is tell me where to put my net.
