After much wait,Manchester United have completed their newest summer signing;Centre-Back Harry Maguire from Leicester City for £80m.
This move automatically makes the England International the most expensive defender at the moment,surpassing the £75m move of Virgil Van Dijk from Southampton to Liverpool.
Harry Maguire was a target by both Manchester clubs but United won his signature. With Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola congratulating the Red devils on their newest signing stating “City just couldn’t afford Harry Maguire”.
Manchester United coach Ole Solskjaer said upon the announcement of Maguire’s arrival: “Harry is one of the best centre-backs in the game today and I am delighted we have secured his signature.”
