Another International TROPHY for RONALDO and Portugal

Yesterday marked another International trophy for Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal as the host nation defeated Netherland 1-0 at the UEFA Nations League final in Porto.

Just days after Ronaldo’s hat trick against Switzerland in the semis,but during the final the Juventus star was kept quiet by top defenders Virgil Van dijk and Matthijs de Ligt.

But at the 60th minute,Portugal outsmarted the Dutch side. As they focused attention on stopping Cristiano Ronaldo,Manchester City’s Bernando Silva and Goncalo Guedes exchanged passes before Guedes smashed the ball into the net pass Jasper Cillessen. The Barcelona 2nd choice goalkeeper felt he could’ve done better.

Portugal won the Nations League final 1-0 against Netherland

while England settled for 3rd place after deafeating Switzerland 6-5 on penalties.

After the match,Ronaldo was spotted talking to De Ligt; asking the youngster if he would like to become his teammate at Juventus. De Ligt just laughed but didn’t say anything!

De Ligt is one of Europe’s prospect at the moment. The Ajax 19yr old Captain will definitely join a big club this summer. The likes of Barcelona, Manchester United,PSG and many top clubs are interested in his services.
