Ajax had an away goal thanks to 15 minute strike by Van de Beek⚽. 

Spurs were without injured Harry Kane and in-form Son Heung Min due to suspension. Tottenham were unable to score a goal in their home. Former Ajax defender Vertonghen was subbed off after his collision with Onana. Sissoko came in for him and added huge boost to Tottenham gameplay.

At the 77th minute,the away side Ajax should’ve doubled their lead but David Neres missed his glorious opportunity as the ball hit the post as Hugo Lloris stood still watching the ball. 

Tottenham came attacking but were stopped on numerous occasions by the ever alert Ajax goalie Onana.
