El Clasico: Real Madrid 2-0 Barcelona, Cristiano Ronaldo watched the match from a Private box
Goals from Vinicius Jr and Mariano helped Real Madrid beat rivals Barcelona 2-0 in the El Clasico ending a seven-games winless run for Zidane’s men.
Last night also saw Los Blanos’ all-time highest goalscorer Cristiano Ronaldo return for the first time to the Santiago Bernabeu since his move to Juventus. Due to Juventus’ postponed match,the Portuguese star arrived in Madrid,signed autographs for supporters then watched his former side,supporting them from a private box in the stadium.
The first half saw no goals thanks to brilliant saves from both Courtois and Ter Stegen
,Second half saw Vinicius give Real Madrid the lead at the 70th minute while Substitute Mariano secured all 3 points at the 90+2 minute
…taking Real Madrid to top spot on the La Liga table,one point above Barcelona now in 2nd place. No goals for Lionel Messi as Thibaut Courtois good-form continues.
