Tottenham make Gedson Fernandes their first signing on loan

With Moussa Sissoko facing a long-term injury and Christen Eriksen set to exit the club,Tottenham have reached agreemment with Benfica for the 18-month loan of Gedson Fernandes with option to make transfer move permanent. 

The 21-year old is Jose Mourinho’s first signing as Spurs coach as he plans to bolster his midfield options. Fernandes also attracted interest from Tottenham’s rival West Ham and other Premier league clubs.
