Poetry Friday line 22: RIGHT OR WRONG?
RIGHT OR WRONG?
The world;
Yes, the world itself is an irony
And my territory is its symbol
Questions upon questions run through my restless mind
Each second I have to meditate on our terminologies
I hear some unrecognized voices asking;
Are we right or wrong?
When we term the money stolen in office as cutting and not stealing,
Are we right or wrong?
When strict people are described as the wicked ones,
Are we right or wrong?
When disciplined humans are called the proud ones,
Are we right or wrong?
When the harmless beings are referred to as fools,
Are we right or wrong?
When the obedients are known as the dulls and dorms,
Are we right or wrong?
When we brand our old papas and mamas witches and wizards,
Are we right or wrong?
When we use love as the synonym for sex,
Are we really right or wrong?
When we preach against corruption while as its agents,
Are we right or wrong?
When we so much delight in accusing the men of God,
Are we right or wrong?
When we refer to the rich ones as blood suckers,
Are we right or wrong?
When religion becomes our worshipped personality,
Are we truly right or wrong?
And when we live rejoicing in the sorrow of our fellows,
It troubles me much to ask;
If we are certainly right or wrong?
