For weeks now,the gunners have been linked to a number of players during the january transfer window. Players include Perisic from Inter,Malcom and Denis Suarez from Barcelona and James Rodriguez from Bayern Munich.

Just few hours to the transfer deadline, the gunners completed the signing of Spanish International Denis Suarez on loan from Barcelona. The versatile midfielder joined the gunners though he was offered first a contract extension from Barca till 2021 before leaving. The move feels right in order for him to gain more playing time considering Barcelona midfield packed with regular starters like Arthur,Vidal,Busquets and Rakitic with De Jong joining in July.

Denis Suarez is a former player under Coach Unai Emery during their days at Sevilla. The Arsenal boss knows very well the quality of his new signing and is keen on starting the Spaniard immediately in their upcoming fixture against Premier League title holders Manchester City.

Denis Suarez has been handed the No.22 jersey and expected to fill the void when Aaron Ramsey joins Juventus in the summer and also the case of unsettled star Mesut Ozil. Upon his arrival and presentation to Arsenal fans,they were confused and claimed Denis Suarez looked exactly like outgoing midfielder Aaron Ramsey and dubbed him *Ramsey doppelganger*.
