Premier League club Manchester City have completed the signing of winger Ferran Torres from Valencia for a deal worth £37m. Initial payment of 23 million already paid, with an additional 12 million euros in variables…..both clubs announcing the completed deal on their respective websites.
The 20-year old Spaniard had his medical on Tuesday in Barcelona due to travel restrictions for travellers arriving from Spain to England.
Ferran: “I’m very happy to sign for City,” the player said to his new club’s website upon signing.
“All players want to play for attacking teams, and Manchester City are one of the most attacking in the world.
“Pep is looking for an open and aggressive style, which is something I love.
“He’s a coach known for improving his players, him helping me to develop my game is a dream.
“City have won a lot of titles in the last 10 years and I look forward to helping the club to continue being successful.”
Ferran signed a five-year contract at the Etihad Stadium, will help fill the void of Leroy Sane who joined Bayern Munich.
City beat a host of top European clubs to the signing of Torres, with Manchester United, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid all expressing an interest.
