Just a day after City made their first signing for next season “winger Ferran Torres from Valencia” ….another signing has arrived at the Etihad Stadium, “Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake” in a deal worth £40m.
The Netherland International completed his medical and agreed personal terms with City, signing a 5-year deal with Pep Guardiola’s side until 2025.
The 25-year old defender who was formely at Chelsea, before joining Bournemouth in 2017…who are now relegated from the Premier League. City made the move for the player with a guaranteed £40million to the Cherries, add-ons and bonuses of £1million remaining.
Nathan Ake to Manchester City media: “Pep is a manager admired across the world – what he’s done in the game speaks for itself.
“The success he’s had is unbelievable and the style of football he plays really appeals to me.
“I know I’m going to have to work hard to get into the side, but that’s what I’m here to do and I’ll do whatever I can to make an impact and help the team win silverware”.
