Leroy Sané is a FC Bayern player. The German international has been linked with a move to the Bundesliga giants for many months now. Manchester City tried to keep him but they couldn’t.
The winger will play in the Bundesliga once again, formerly at Schalke 04 before joining Premier League side Manchester City (where he won two league titles with them and other domestic trophies).
Sané: “FC Bayern is a very big club and has big goals – and these goals suit me as well. I’m looking forward to the new challenge and can’t wait to train with the team. I still know Hansi Flick from the U21 national team, we had a very good relationship there.”
The 24-year old passed his second part of the medical on Thursday morning, before returning to Bayern’s training centre to finalize the move, signing a 5-year contract until June 2025. The Bundesliga champions will pay an initial fee of €49m plus add-ons based on series of performance and trophies won.
