Barcelona drew 2-2 against Atletico Madrid, further causing damage to their La Liga title hopes as rivals Real Madrid could go 4 points up at the top of the table.
Diego Costa’s own goal from a Messi corner gave Barca the lead, Costa again missed an awarded penalty which VAR ruled out; before Saul Niguez was given the penalty this time to convert for Diego Simeone’s side.
Second half saw Barcelona take the lead once again as Lionel Messi scored his 700th career goal with a “paneka” penalty.
12mins later Saul Niguez once again spoilt the party for Barca by converting another awarded penalty for Atletico Madrid, his brace in the match.
