Bruno Fernandes secured a point for Manchester United in Friday’s 1-1 draw against Spurs.
Steve Bergwijn gave the home side the lead at the 27th minute.
United produced really poor first-half performance but improved after the break. Paul Pogba was introduced into the second half as a substitute and added some spark for United, causing the awarded penalty after a rash tackle from Eric Dier.
Bruno Fernandes stepped up and converted the penalty, sending Hugo Lloris the wrong way. (81st minute)
Sky Sports pundit, Roy Keane was furious at the goal conceded by the Red Devils, highlighted the errors of United captain Harry Maguire and goalkeeper David de Gea, claiming they should be ashamed of the way they defended.
“I’m shocked at that goal I’ve watched a lot of football over the years but I’m fuming there,” said Keane.
“I can’t believe Shaw heading the ball up in the air. I’m staggered at Maguire. I’m sick to death of this goalkeeper.
“I would be fighting him at half time, I would be swinging punches. This is an established international goalkeeper.
“You’ve got to impose your personality on the game. Maguire and De Gea, I wouldn’t let them on the bus after the match. Shocking. I’m disgusted with it. Maguire, De Gea you should hang your heads in shame.
“You look at Shaw. He heads it up in the air and starts running forward.
“De Gea is the most overrated goalkeeper I’ve seen in a long, long time.”
It finished at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium: Tottenham 1-1 Manchester United
