Nigerian forward Odion Jude Ighalo has been signed by Manchester United on transfer deadline day. The striker will join on loan from Shanghai Shenhua until the end of the season.
The 30-year old forward is brought in on a 6-month deal to help bolster the attacking options for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the Red Devils compete in the Premier league,Europa and FA Cup this second half of season.
Ighalo returns to the Premier league from China after his first stint at Watford. Scored 40 goals in 100 appearances across all competitions for the Hornets. Ighalo has 35 caps for Nigeria,scoring 16 goals,finished top goalscorer in 2019 AFCON.
Ighalo has also played across many clubs so far in his career,scoring 131 goals from 322 appearances and admits to being a life-long supporter of Manchester United.
