Not a good time for Diego Simeone and his men as the Rojiblancos suffered an embarrassing extra-time defeat to 3rd-tier Cultural Leonesa. The shock defeat means Atletico Madrid is out of Copa del Rey this season.
Rojiblancos opened scoring at the 62nd minute when Angel Correa found the back of the net. Cultural Leonesa fought back,taking the match into extra-time when Julen Castaneda equalized for the 3rd-tier hosts at the 83rd minute.
The home side then had the final say at the 108th minute when Sergio Benito won the match with a precise volley. Huge celebrations from the home fans;Atletico Madrid could not believe what just happened!
