Unbelievable miss by Messi in goalless El Clasico at Camp Nou

Table leaders Barcelona and Real Madrid ended the El Clasico at Camp Nou with a goalless draw. The game was played amid protest near the stadium in favor of Catalan independence. 
Gareth Bale had a goal disallowed by VAR in second half. Barcelona still on same points with Real Madrid but top the La Liga table by goal difference. The match saw Barca youngster Ansu Fati who came on as a sub claim another record, he’s now the youngest player to feature in an El Clasico match.
Barca superstar Lionel Messi had an unbelievable miss in the second half. The last time a goalless El Clasico happened,Ansu Fati was just 23 days old.
8 yellow cards were given. 3 for Barcelona players: Lenglet,Rakitic and Suarez while 5 for Real Madrid players: Bale,Isco,Casemiro,Carvajal and Sergio Ramos. 

The big miss by Messi came after he played a one-two with Griezmann but Leo failed to connect with the ball from 10 yards out, unopposed between Ramos and Mendy. 
The El Clasico match was halted for some minutes when dozens of yellow inflatable balls were thrown onto the pitch to stop play. The moment was not shown on TV, cameras took the focus on the players or showed shots from the helicopters above. Loud chants of “independence” and “freedom” were heard from the crowd who also held up flags reading #spainsitandtalk
