Japanese and Salzburg forward Minamino set to become Liverpool first signing in January 1st 2020,subject to passing medical. His impressive performances in both UCL matches against the Reds is one of the reasons Liverpool want him. 

Red Bull Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund has confirmed that the club are in talks with Liverpool over the sale of Takumi Minamino. 

The player release clause of £7.25m in his current contract. Another reason why Liverpool wants the talented attacker, whose market value is worth at least treble that.
He’s been involved in 5 goals in 6 UCL appearances this season for Salzburg. 

The 24-year-old has 9 goals plus 11 assists in 22 appearances for Salzburg across all competitions. A deal in principle has already been agreed between the Austrian club and Liverpool for January.
