Mohamed Salah’s 2nd minute penalty and substitute Origi’s 87th minute goal gave Liverpool the Champions league trophy.
Klopp’s men were awarded a penalty just minutes after the game started when Sadio Mane’s cross in the penalty box hit Sissoko’s hand. Salah converted the penalty pass Hugo Lloris.
Both sides played aimlessly throughout the match; most especially Tottenham throwing their chances away.
UCL hat-trick hero Lucas Moura was introduced into the game at the 2nd half but he,Dele Alli,Llorente,Son and Harry Kane couldn’t find the back of the net. PFA player Van Dijk and EPL Golden Glove winner Alisson were on top form throughout the match. Sadio Mane gave Tottenham players trouble throughout the match with his pace and trickery. Both wing-backs Robertson and Arnold showed their quality.
At the 87th minute,a resulting Liverpool corner saw the ball reach substitute Origi who doubled the Reds lead through a nice angled strike.
Jurgen Klopp makes amend for his UCL defeat last season.
The game ended at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium,Madrid (Tottenham 0-2 Liverpool)
