7 Best Goalkeepers at the Moment.

Here’s my top 7 best goalkeepers at the moment. Am choosing them based on both current form and last 365 days of each goal stopper.
1. Jan Oblak: The best for me at the moment. The Atletico Madrid goalkeeper is valued at a £100m price tag by Club. Atletico Madrid as a club is well known to produce world class goalkeepers, the likes of Courtois,De Gea and many more. Oblak has won the last 3 La Liga best goalkeeper award, but this current season,he might face competition from Barcelona goal stopper Ter Stegen.

2. Marc Andre Ter-Stegen: The Germany International has been superb this season, pulling superhuman saves for the Catalan giants.
When Barcelona brought in both Ter Stegen and Claudio Bravo for the goalkeeping department, Bravo was chosen for La Liga matches including El Clasico while the German was tasked with more competitive matches like the Champions league. At the end of that season of duopoly between both goalkeepers,Bravo was sold to Manchester City while Ter Stegen became No.1 of FC Barcelona.
Adding to that, current Germany No. 1 Manuel Neuer still adjusting to his superb form after recovering from injury, the Barca goalkeeper has the opportunity for the first time in the last 4 years to challenge the Bayern Munich No.1 for his position at the German national team.
3. Manuel Neuer: He’s always been my favorite. The example of a perfect goalkeeper. Tall, fast, decisive and spots danger before hand. The past few seasons, Neuer has been No.1 in the world which earned him a top three nominee for the 2014 FIFA Ballon D’or. Despite his injury playing for club Bayern Munich, Coach Joachim Low still made him No.1 going into the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. The whole Germany national team is going through a decline in form, but when Neuer regains his form,he’s a giant between the sticks.

4. David De Gea: The man behind Iker Casillas retirement at the national level. De Gea has saved his club Manchester United on numerous occasions. Was top on Real Madrid transfer list before the signing of Courtois from Chelsea. The Spanish No.1 is also valued at £100m by his club.

5. Keylor Navas: Navas came into limelight after his heroics for Costa Rica at the 2014 World Cup. Navas is very good at saving penalties. Since his move to Spanish giants Real Madrid,he’s helped Los Blancos to three consecutive Champions league titles.

6. Thibaut Courtois: Former Atletico Madrid, Chelsea and now Real Madrid goalkeeper. Also No.1 of Belgium national team. Courtois is a very good shot stopper. Among his awards are the La Liga best goalkeeper(Atletico Madrid) and Premier league goalkeeper with most clean sheets(Chelsea),Golden glove at the just concluded World Cup and many more.

7. Alisson Becker: For the first time in many years since the likes of Pepe Reina,Liverpool goal post looks solid. The former AS Roma goalkeeper beat Former Juventus shot stopper Gigi Buffon for the first time in Four consecutive years as the SerieA goalkeeper of the year. Since his move to Premier League club Liverpool which made him the most expensive goalkeeper at the moment, Alisson has become a contender for the Premier league goalkeeper of the season in just a few months. He’s also the No.1 of Brazil national side ahead of Manchester City’s Ederson.
Since the poor displays of both Karius and Mignolet in past seasons,Liverpool fans now have strong faith in Alisson Becker. With time am sure he’s going to be amongst the best 3 in world football.
