What makes a top STRIKER the BEST?
Is it his number of goals(Ronaldo), his teamwork (Suarez/Messi), consistency (Lewandowski), finishing(kane), Pace(Aubameyang), Scoring at crucial moments(Aguero), Ability to score with both legs(Ronaldo). For most football fans, a top striker must possess at least 3 of the above attributes.

First has to be England captain and Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane.  Since last two seasons Kane has been on fire in the Barclay’s Premier League.  He’s also been in good form for his country scoring crucial goals, qualifying the Three Lions for World Cup 2018 in Russia. Kane also beat Messi and Ronaldo in 2017 as the highest goalscorer in the calender year. Also picking up the Golden Boot twice in three seasons at Spurs.

Next is Poland international Robert Lewandowski of FC Bayern Munchen, a complete striker in his own rights. Left footed goals, right, headers, free kicks, penalties he has it all. He also made a record of scoring 5 goals in nine minutes against Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga. Lewandowski was also highest goalscorer for his former club Dortmund and Poland’s highest goalscorer.

Luis Suarez of FC Barcelona: Last two seasons in La Liga, the Uruguayan international beat Cristiano Ronaldo, teammates Lionel Messi and Neymar for  the Pichichi award. Suarez is so deadly, he formed with Messi and Neymar as the deadliest attacking trio in world football.

Edinson Cavani of Paris Saint-Germain: Also from Uruguay, El matador was under the shadow of Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic for three seasons until his move to Manchester United.  Cavani came to life, lifting the award as the highest goalscorer in Ligue 1. Cavani is known for his superb headers and shots.

Sergio KUN Aguero of Manchester City: One thing City fans will never forget is Aguero’s goal that won them the Premier league title. Aguero is very lethal, good finisher, game-changer. The Argentine is already City’s highest goalscorer.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Arsenal: The list is not complete without the Gabon international, Aubameyang’s pace is very frightening. This goal poacher is very consistent and very vital during his time at Dortmund. He won the award for the Bundesliga highest goalscorer last season ahead of Robert Lewandowski.  He also has won the BBC African best footballer Award. Now he’s banging in the goals for Arsenal.
